Current Goals

Once again, I’ve changed my goals. I also wasn’t able to go back to school just yet, but I’m preparing to go back in the Spring. I’ve decided to revert back to my original goal for an A.A. in Liberal Arts, then transfering at some point to get a B.A. in English.  I should be able to graduate with the A.A. degree by the beginning of 2010. With this degree, I hope to get a couple more writing jobs so bring in a solid part-time income. When my children start going to school full-time, I’ll go back for my B.A. I’ll then be able to choose many directions to go with that degree, but still stick a writing base. Teaching sounded good, but I don’t want to limit myself. I’m very eager to start on this path and I don’t know if I can handle waiting until Spring semester.

Your new goals, how wonderful; I have not had time to read until now and I wanted to comment on them. I believe that it is brilliant that you want to return to school. I believe in education and time, like age comes only in a number and does not mean anything when you have your eye on the “big picture” of your life; and one has the rest of their life to continue their education don’t they?

I have two children who teach; both have masters in special education, besides teaching one writes educational programs and the other writes both fiction and non-fiction. They spend their summers traveling, writing and yes, continuing their educations and ongoing process if you teach.

So, hold onto your new goals and dreams, they are possible to achieve and your passion for writing will keep you in that game also.

    Best regards,
    Annie O.
